The Assistant Manager (AM) at The Closet Trading Co. is responsible for assisting the General Manager (GM) by taking on some managerial tasks such as overseeing employees, providing customer service & efficiently resolving conflicts to ensure that the store is always running smoothly. The AM also assists in the hiring and on-boarding process by seeking candidates who possess the qualities that fit our brand, as well as offering insight on candidates to the GM. The AM is responsible for assisting the GM in tracking daily, weekly & monthly sales as they relate to given goals. The AM has a large role in leading, motivating & developing all current sales staff alongside the GM. The AM will also help develop and manage in-store promotions as needed. It is important to know that the AM should be committed to learning the duties of the general manager and ideally be in training to advance to this position should the opportunity become available. The Assistant Manager’s duties are not limited to what is stated above.
